![]() SC2013 made me more angry than I could have possibly imagined. Well have a more detailed review later when weve had a chance to try out the final release, complete with all the globally connected, Internet-enabled features EA has been playing up, but just. They really didn’t have to change much of anything. I hoped SC5 (2013) would be based on SC4 but with improved graphics and more building variation. The player cannot invade or attack other cities using military, although some disasters are similar to an attack, although not a ground invasion. SC4 remains the crown jewel of the series in my book. In SimCity 4, you can simply unlock a military base, which is a business deal awarded after running low on the citys funds, but also take a lot of place, like in other games. I really liked the addition of medium zoning. Even on my really quite good computer, its not the fastest thing in the world. SC3 was another nice improvement, although the graphics were a bit too cartoony for me. Archeologies were fun! SCURK really made the game feel more vibrant with customization. ![]() Sc2k was definitely mind blowing compared to SCSNES. Perhaps that’s partly reflective of real life, but it made it insanely difficult to get things to reach max level as the city got larger and that was the last development area. ![]() My biggest gripes were how slow the game went even at the fastest speed, then it was frustrating how the game seemed coded to have land values plummet as you got towards the edge of the map. It evolved into SimCity 2000, SimCity 3000, and rather than leap an unlikely further millennium into the future, Maxis (now an Electronic Arts subsidiary) have. ![]()
